It is always great to get a 'going home fish' when walking back down stream. We almost stood on this one. luckily the recently arrived norwester kept us hidden. All i had to do was to gently lower the nymph in the water and let the current take the nymph to the fish. The wind was so strong that just getting the fly to get into the water and staying there was quite challenge. Every gust would whip the fly line up out of the water and flap it uselessly mid air. no trout there last time i looked!
