Lake George is dry and dusty. A large mob of sheep racing to the dam for water raised a huge pall of dust. I was there just as the sun rose.
The high plains of the Monaro are dotted with numerous ancient tarns. These tarns are remnants of the last ice age. I was lucky to encounter this one full of water, not a common sight these days.
